The easiest, quickest way to get to Ireland is by air. Ireland has four international airports.
Dublin airport is conveniently located just to the north of Dublin City Centre. Situated near the M50 and M1 motorways, it is accessable can by bus, taxi, or car. There are services from nearby train stations that operate a shuttle bus to Dublin Airport. This is the premier airport in Ireland.

You can get to Dublin using the airlink service provided by DublinBus these are the bus 748, and 747. This bus ride will cost you €5. You can either pay to the driver directly ( be prepared to have exact change!! ) or you can buy a 1-day ramble ticket at the tourist office in the airport building. This is a better option as you can use this ticket for a day on other lines as well. Buses depart from and return to the airport every ten minutes during the day.

The advantage to using the Airlink service is convenience. Since the next stop after the airport is the city centre, it minimizes travel time. Dependant on the traffic, it can take anything from twenty minutes to an entire hour to get to or from the airport. In the mornings, people can expect delays on the route to the City and in the evenings on the route to the airport. This is because many people are commuting to the city centre by car every day.
Other bus routes are also available. They will cost you €1.90 one way; however these are a lot slower means by which to reach the city. These are:
Route 16ADublin Airport to Lower Rathfarnham
Route 41City Centre (Lower Abbey Street) to Swords (Swords Manor)
Route 41BCity Centre (Lower Abbey Street) to Rolestown
Route 46XDún Laoghaire to Dublin Airport
Route 58XWoodbrook (St. Brendan's School) to Airport
Route 230Portmarnock (Strand Rd) to Dublin Airport
Route 746Dún Laoghaire to Dublin Airport
In a hurry? If price is not an obstacle, take a
cab to get to the city centre. From the Airport to the city centre will cost you from €17 to €25. This is also very much depends on the traffic.
