Cost of Living vs Salary - 2008/03/05 15:21
Hello,
Apparently I found myself a job in Dublin ... from overseas. My CV sent by email and a phone interview was all that was needed to get me that job and move permanently to Ireland. Easy indeed! I am still asking myself if I this is all true.
However, what worries me most is this: it's been years since I last visited Ireland and now I am relocating to Dublin with a starting salary in the region of 21,500 Euros/year. I have no idea of the living costs in Dublin and wonder if anyone could give a hint as to if this (viz Euro 1,700/month) is good, reasonable or poor pay.
I know it all depends on the way one manages his/her money but I am not really into spending money in unnecessary things. I really mean the basic studd: accommodation (I will be living alone in the 3-4 months, food, transport. etc).
