Moving to Ireland - 2008/07/24 11:38 Hi

I was looking for some advice me and my friend both (27) and our children (1 and 5) are looking at moving to ireland in the next year or two. At the moment we are both doing degrees myself in photography and my friend in criminology, we are planning to come over when we have finished and find work in dublin, but we dont actually want to live in dublin. We are trying to find a quiet town or villiage that is a good place to bring up children with good schools but also not to far from dublin center (about half a hour - a hours drive).

Has anyone any advice of any areas we can be looking at??

My main advice is that try to find a job over the internet- this is the best and easiest way for yourself and for himself...First of all u have to get an accomodation-also over the internet.By the way dont forget that the best possibilities are in the capital,especially for a family.To see your occupations my opinion is try to get contact some of the main headhunters in ireland,upload your CV to their website ,do not hesitate to contact anyone about gettin a job..you have to be persevering and bold....

I am 28 year old American moving to Dublin on Nov 3, 2008. The only thing that I am concerned about is employers not hiring me due to “jus sanguinis” or “right of blood”. I have a bachelor’s of science from the University of Wisconsin and 4 and 1/2 years of professional work experience in inside and outside sales but I’m not a person with high need skills like doctor’s or those with information technology experience. Are there any sales organizations that can legally hire me? Can I find SOME work?

Re:Moving to Ireland - 2008/09/30 22:10 there are many reasons i want to move to ireland. i've lived in chicago all my life and want to move some where else. maybe in a few years, i'll move back to the U.S. or move to Austrailia for example.
